Hi BobbyT,

Sorry for the slow reply... didn't seem to get an email when you posted as I usually do...

To answer your question, the nav seems to work very well with the antenna under the dash pad...just used it last weekend on the way to a PCA BBQ. I'm sure there is a little signal attenuation, but as long as you don't have metal over the antenna, the foam and vinyl (or leather) shouldn't have much impact.

Hi Schnell,

Thanks for the response.

I found your pictures in another thread. I mounted my GPS sensor inside the dash, near where you mounted yours, but I just stuck in on the underside of the metal dash. I did a little testing, to see how long it would take to recalculate if I deviated from the prescribed route, and it is just couple of seconds, so I assume signal attenuation or masking is not an issue.

Hi inkatouring,

That is via Bluetooth. I don't know about playlists, but it will display the individual songs in an album, and the play in progress timeline. I haven't found a random function, but haven't done a diligent search for it.
