Yes anything recommended might help us out of town guys. Not to worry about Seattle we have places in mind already.

Default UPDATE 2

8998FEST UPDATE! I just emailed this out but here is all the info for those I do not have email addresses for. We have 39 cars signed up so far! Please PM me or shoot me an email at brian@briankawal.net if you would like to come but have not yet RSVP'ed. Thanks!

We are less then 2 weeks away from 8998FEST so here are all the final details that you may find helpful for the event.

First of all, if you are looking for a hotel in Portland on Friday night there are two hotels that have been recommended by locals.
The Century Hotel: http://www.thecenturyhotel.com/ Rooms here range from 179-189. We have a group rate for this hotel. Mention 8998FEST and the room rates will be 159-169. Please call them at 503.692.3600 to get this rate!
Best Western Northwind Inn: http://bestwesternoregon.com/hotels/best-western-plus-northwind-inn-and-suites Rooms start at 130. We were not able to negotiate a group rate here.

Saturday morning our Tech event will start at 8:00 at Steve Weiner's shop. The address is: 14015 SW Galbreath Dr, Sherwood OR 97140 The event will only run until 9:00.

Our drive details will be released to all those arriving that morning.

We will have a group lunch along the way.

We will be having a group dinner that evening at Thai Kitchen in Bellevue.

If you need a hotel on Saturday night we have a group rate with a hotel only 4 blocks away from the Restaurant at the Silver Cloud Inn.
http://www.silvercloud.com/redmond/

Our group rate is 139 and you must mention 8998FEST to receive the discount. The number is: 1 425 746 8200

Sunday morning we will have a group meet at 7:00 for those that wish to show their car at the Carillion Point Concourse. You will need to preregister through the PCA/PNWR. Here is a link to the website:

http://pnwr.org/calendar07/display.asp?EventID=3087&CalendarID=4&StyleID=2&thisMonth=9&thisDay=18&t hisYear=2016&Window=Same

See you all soon!
Cheers,
Brian and Nathan

Default The Fest

I repeat the offer for a few to stay at my house in Portland, close to Steve's talk the following morning. The rates are cheap(1-large dark beer), have several empty bedrooms, safe and good parking, including 1-empty garage spot.
I don't recall ever receiving an offer like this!

What an offer Fred, hard to beat!

We actually have a decent size group coming from Vancouver, if it was smaller we'd def take you up on that.

I'll most likely be cannonballing down on the Friday evening after work so won't be able to join them.

Brian,

You might post details about the Friday night dinner for the arrivals, late or otherwise.

Dinner Friday is at Gustavs German restaurant just off of hywy 217 and Greenberg ave. at 7 pm. (There are a few gustav locations. This is near Washington square mall). Let FSA (Fred ) or myself know if you haven't already that you will be there so we can have enough seating reserved. Look forward to seeing everyone.
