yes, i know it is not very expensive but i don't use that hub that much... and i use the ashtray to store some coins.
i do everything through bluetooth and sdcards.
my hub is sticked below the glovebox; nobody can see it and if i need i know where it is.
thank you anyway

To be honest... I am likely going to move it behind the dash and put a USB/Aux port in the rear cup tray flush mounted. I don't like having to have the cords coming by the shifter as that was my complaint with the prior version. I haven't had a chance to plug it in yet, but does it charge the phone as well?

Looks great!
Two questions: Can you set the right dial to control the volume?
Is the screen easy to read?
The reason I ask is that the display on my current headunit is very glossy and the screen is hard to read in bright sunlight due to reflections.

I love the classic unit but so hard to justify when you can get Alpine's top of the line single din for $299

It's a cheapy Pioneer. It doesn't suit the car and the button layout is rubbish. I'd like to upgrade too, but I'm in the same boat. $$$!!!

I don't know if you can switch the volume, likely not...
Its definitely not for everyone... depends on where you want to spend your mod money. For me I wanted the one, clean solution for bluetooth audio and phone without messing with all the adapters and other garbage. I likely won't use the navigation so I'm not overly concerned with that.
People think the price is high but you also need to remember that Alpine is selling millions of headunits and can offset R&D and other start up costs over the entire line of products whereas Porsche is much more limited.

+1 ... The Velcro solution looks great even understated for the USB port dongle.
Question: Know one is buying the new Porsche radio for its Navigation properties, right? ... Moreover, a purchase is motivated largely about the aesthetics, no?
