WTT: 05 996 GT3 7K Miles for 993 C2S
Hello 993 peeps:
I'm looking to get into a 993 C2S. Has to be manual and can't be red. All other options are considered. I thought I would throw this out there just incase one of you guys might be wanting to jump into a mint GT3. I'm also open to buying so if you're looking to sell one please PM me.
For trade with a 993C2S
2005 996 GT3 7K miles in mint condition
Artic Silver over black leather
Let me know if one of you 993 guys are interested.
Send me a PM of your email for more detailed and upclose pics. Won't let me upload pics right now
Thanks!

There's a '04 996 GT3 with 13K miles in the classifieds asking $75K, so unless you're planning on offering your GT3 and some cash as well, it could pose a challenge to find a nice 1998 C2S for a straight up trade, unless you are open to a high mileage example.
Good luck on your search

Just so it's clear I'm looking to trade for a 993 worth roughly 85-90K. Straight up.

Yes. I asked why it was priced well below market and he said it had dings and scratches. The market is not that guys car. You can ask the 996 GT3 guys what the market is. That guys car is well below market for a reason. I don't want to get in a debate about a 996 GT3 on a 993 forum. Again, if anyone is interested in trading a 993 worth 85-90K straight up for a mint 05 GT3 7K miles let me know.

Both great cars, but very different in almost every respect.

You and I tend to agree on many things here (what's THAT worth? ), but I'll respectfully disagree with you here Mr. G.
An 11 year old GT3 with low miles and "minty" will, I believe, be attractive to a similar Porschephile. The GT3 was (still is) an incredible car outright as well as significant in Porsche history. The 996 version, much like our beloved 993s, was free from all electronic nannies except for ABS. And to this day it maintains very "modern" levels of performance.
I'd even go as far to say that in the coming years a deal such as this might be considered a smart move.
Put it another way, if non-track-***** 996 GT3s were available for a reasonable price I'd have one to sit beside ONE of my 993s.
