Default Help: SF Bay Area Body Shop - looking for a guru

Looking for the right shop to fix my door strap problem - hoping some bay area folks have already found the right guy. Need someone who understands the procedure exemplified in this excellent thread:

https://rennlist.com/forums/993-foru...p-failure.html

Appreciate your suggestions.

Have you spoken with Hanzel?

Address: 456 23rd St, Oakland, CA 94612
Phone510) 451-1889

The dude is very old-school european. Heard good things, but haven't actually used them; I looked into having them re-do my front, but it was pricey.

Thanks for the suggestions. I'll check them out.

So, apparently no first-hand experience... Or, maybe no good experiences?

Has anybody in the Bay Area had this problem and gotten it fixed??

There is a guy in Seattle, Marv from Majic Customs. He developed a special tooling for this thing and is the best guy to deal with the problem. He truly does majic. (based on the first hand experience). So if you ever in our neck of woods, just talk to him.

I would call Bob at RMG in Sunnyvale and ask for a recommendation.

^ Another good idea - Thanks Pirata!

Kind of surprised nobody in the Bay Area has actually had it done by a shop they'd recommend...

Appreciate the input.

I am looking to repair the metal flashing around my left exhaust tip that is loose. And I am considering while doing that maybe getting the lower rear bumper panel resprayed as good as possible. I'd like to check out Jerry Woods shop, some cool stuff down there but it's a little far away. Probably end up going down mod alley!

Any other suggestions for San Francisco Bay Area?

Whitman's did great work with replacing my 993 windshield as well as painting my engine fan and surround. They smoothed the pebbles texture of the blades and ground down the tips slightly to account for the added thickness of the paint. Good attention detail! Ask for a cash-in-hand estimate.
