Default Quick Fan Override Switch Question

Getting ready to install the oil cooler fan override switch. Original plan was to mount the switch in the blank to the left of the ignition because my center console switches are all utilized. But, running a fixed wing and remembered the rear wing switch is deactivated. Can anyone think of a reason to not use this switch, before I pull things apart? Other than going back to the original set-up which I don't plan on doing.

Thanks!

Is that switch a momentary switch, or can it stay switched? If it's a momentary switch, it won't work.

Had to go check on the switch function. It does not stay switched in one position like an on/off switch. Operates like the sun roof switch. When you press and release it, the switch comes back to it's neutral position.

Thanks.

Buy a 944 hazzard switch and put it in place of the wing switch if you don't have black space next to it. You do need to file the 944 switch a bit to make it fit but that's pretty easy. There is a good DIY by EMBPilot.

That's what I will do. Pulled the part # from a thread search and will just pull the spoiler switch and put the new one in that position.

Thanks!!

This is what I used in the blank to the left of the steering column.
