Default 95 Cab sells for $82k at Mecum

Yesterday a 95 Cab sold for $82k at Mecum in Kissimmee. Has 8,100 miles. Only 1 picture.

Good to see the strong money at a Mecum auction.....

The Cab's final selling price could also be due to the sunny location (Florida).

Shame that 993 has only been driven 8100 miles!

Not many cabs here in much of Florida like most people think. Its either 100 degrees and raining or 100 degrees with 80% humidity.

Except when it's near 40F during the night at Daytona for the 24 hours. (I'm 2-for-3 on hitting decent weather when there, and would gladly take "cold" versus rain.)

People overpay for things all the time. Only takes 2 people who really wanted it. Lots of new "collectors" in this market who for sure apply the mistaken belief that unlike other classics, a cab doesn't trade to a premium over a coupe in a 993. That being said it's a real data point and one that will be used ad infinitum by the cab lovers to "prove" their worth.
