Default HID Lamps?

One of my HID lamps is a different temperature than the other and goes off intermittently. Would this be a controller or ballast problem? Possibly both?

Thanks for any info.

It is specific to the bulb and what impurities are added to the xenon gas to set the color. Buy two identical new bulbs from the same batch and supplier and they should match in color. Also could be metal from the anode/electrode contaminating the gas.

Agree w/ Andy above that 2 new bulbs should fix the color issue. On/off intermittently could be the the ballast, but on mine (and others I've read about here), its the connector the headlamp seats into. I need to pull the headlight, clean up the connector on both sides and make sure things are aligned properly. I can sometimes make it come back on with the "Fonzy" fix (a smack on the glass, causing it to re-seat itself and work again)....so its obviously a connector issue.
