Group Buy Fabspeed Exhaust 993?

The Sport Cat option provides 200 cell HJS sport cats, according to what I read on Fabspeed's web site, when you buy (At 20% to 25% off with the Group Buy!!!) it includes the cat bypass pipes. If you want to save money, for $995, you can buy just the X pipe and the cat bypass pipes. So there is a $900 delta.
However, $900 for a set of German manufactured cats (Meeting Germany's emissions standards...drill down into HJS's web site) are fairly priced. Also note, I am not 100% certain that HJS has always been Fabspeed's supplier...about 4 years ago, I passes California emission with a set of X pipes and 200 cell sport cats. I am not saying that you will pass your state's emissions testing, don't know how if differs from California's. But I passed.
For those that take the X pipe and Cat Bypass Pipes option on the Group Buy, Fabspeed may be willing to sell you a pair of 200 cell sport cats at some later date, but don't count on it. These Sport Cats are from HJS, a German company specializing in performance cat design and manufacture. Check out their web site.

When push comes to shove, other than a chip (Not so practical on the 96 through 98 cars, especially California cars where we are limited to 91 Octane at the pump)***, the X pipe, with or without sport cats, is a very inexpensive way to gain lost HP and torque. I have proven this to myself with dyno results, 26 HP for me with the X pipe and cat bypass pipes into Fabspeed Maxflows. At the top of the string I have provided the dyno results.
This will be my third set of X pipe and cat delete/200 sport package, and I am holding on to this set for the duration. Sold the previous two (2) sets for various questionable reasons. So Group Buy or no Group buy, I am getting another X pipe, and I'll probably get the 200 cell cats as well, save the world, global warming and all that stuff.
*** With my 97 car, if I wanted an ECU chip, I'd have to extract the ECU and send it out...have it flashed, or whatever they do, then get it back for a re-install. With this option, the possibilities for a screw up are to great for me to contemplate. I know I am overcomplicating this....and I'd be out at least $1,000 with my car dead in the water for about 2 weeks.

Reply to Fabspeed's John (Listed above in the string) and get on the official kist. As soon as you get on the list, that will be 5, and I don;t know if I can wait for 5 more to get to 10. I am drooling for my X pipe and 200 cell cats!!!!

Maybe I'm getting it wrong. Besides if is 20% or 25% the "sport cat and by pass pipes" it's a package of two pieces? I mean, the self X pipe with build in 200 cel cats and also is included the by pass cat pipes...those that you can switch later if you want to run CATless? If so....

Please confirm: $1516 for sport cat x-pipe includes 20% discount applied and does not include by-pass pipes, which are normally priced at $400...correct?
Couple other questions:
Do you charge state (NJ in my case) sales tax?
Anyone used this set-up with factory motor sound mufflers? If so, comments?
Thanks.

So sorry to have mislead myself and other But as we see the purchase of the X pipe and the 200 cell cats does NOT include the cat bypass pipes Oh well, regardless it's still a hell of a product...no wonder the last set of Fabspeed 200 cell cats, cat bypass pipes and X pipe sold so quickly.
I am up for the $400 less a discount...gives me the flexibility that I want.

I already have Fabspeed headers and X-pipe with sports cats, but would be interested in the bypass pipes if available for $300. Also, I may have missed it in the thread, but is shipping included?

Martin & all:
I am potentially in for this; just have to clear a couple of points:
- I live in Spain so not sure if the GB applies for overseas; in case it does and Fabspeed can send parts here I need to find out how to avoid customs tax for the package. Plan B is that luckily for me my brother is currently living there in the US (Kansas) so in case the direct shipment here is an issue I may arrange it so the part gets to him and then he sends them here.
- I like the Xpipe+cat by pass but need to check if I could pass the smog test here. I'll check in a local forum for people with bypass.
In any case I am wondering if my 20 years old cats are of any use now.
I also need to find out if I have the Bischoff or Gillet flange; I guess Bischoff since my car is a '94 but will try to check over the weekend.
Will get in touch with Fabspeed when I clear points above.
Thanks
