It does look quite thick. This is mine from Dallas Steering Wheel. Mine had the thumb rests and padding added-but it looks a bit thinner.

They said they increase rim thickness by 4mm, which I assume means there is 2mm padding under the leather. The photo makes it look like the lower part of the rim is fatter than it really is. Perhaps this photo is a more accurate representation.

Thanks. I really like it. Winter time would be good so the possible 2-month wait won't bother you as much. These guys do great work.

Wow! Beautiful Ken. Nice and thick. How's the grip?

I like it much better than the shiny hard plastic feel my old wheel rim had. There are still grip indentations in the back side of the rim, as shown in last photo of my post #164.

Wow! Both those wheels like great Ed and Ken, I can't decide which I like best! It's nice to see that some still embrace the 4 spoke wheel and do some mods to improve but keep it in place.

And... we have two tracking numbers for the two big boxes. Fingers crossed. I very much hope that they come soon enough for me to re-package and ship to all of you before I leave for Europe on July 2nd.

To that end, gents, please email me your zip codes so I can estimate shipping and let you know the final costs.

FWIW, the shipping time for mine (to Blaine, Wa) was just less than 2 weeks from when Carsdream released the package to DHL. That was with deluxe shipping. It was worth the wait. I'm loving my wheel.

at's what I'm hoping for. Would leave me a few days to send the wheels to the group before I'm gone for three weeks.
