You wont find much love here for what youre after. Also know that you are drastically going to lower the value of your car with this stuff so i hope you have the right priced vehicle to modify like that.

Heres some parts companies that make cheap parts and panels for race cars.

Only thing that might be similar in width as the RWB bodykit is the GT2 EVO body from Hahn GFK in Germany, however I doubt it is that much cheaper, if You include wheels and labour needed for proper fitement.

These cars are too precious to be extensively modified on a budget, so please proceed with extreme caution...

Man, collectively we are pretty mean.

I'll throw another opinion into this thread. I really liked the RWB kits before I had a 993, since I'm younger and was into the tuner stuff. But after my purchase and I had time to really look at the 993 closely, anything above the RS trim bits on a street car ruins the greatness of the body design.

What concerns me more than the desire to do a widebody project is the desire to do a widebody project on the cheap!

Good luck with the project.

Be nice, guys. He's asking for advice.

The nicer version:
Good kits are expensive.
Good kits cost $$ to install. The cars are hand built and require hand fitment.
It will probably adversely affect the value.
RWB as a muse is polarizing...some love and some hate. Few seem in between.
Nothing about modifying a 993 is cheap past an evergreen tree hanging from the window. And cheap mods are often maddening once done, so do think it through.

Good luck

Where's the Like button, I could hit it about 6 times now.

Don't forget the wood screws to attach the flares when you source them, so you'll be true to the "RWB 'master' ". Those can be found at Lowes or Home Depot.

looks awesome, but cringe at the thought of cutting the fenders on a car that is the best investment of the decade...

Just picked up a car with a GT2 flares already on it. Really struggling with the decision to go back to stock body or not. I had to get front fenders for the car, so I'm half way there.
