It looks like a relay but it has a slot and a light next too it. Put the fuse in and if the light goes green good fuse. If not... well you get the idea.

I have checked my fusebox and do not have one of these. Anyone else out there not got one? Which position should it occupy and how much does a new one cost?

Although I think it is a neat little gadget to have when you don't have a voltmeter handy (I always do when I travel)
If someone can send me the wiring diagram from the delay page of the 964 shop manual maybe I can figure out a DIY to integrate this deleted feature on the 993s.

Hi Robin,
You should have the information you need in the 964 shop manual CD I sent you (you did receive it okay, didn't you?). Electrical diagrams in Volume 7, just like the 993 manual.

Good morning Robin,
Hmmm, that's strange. I sent it to the address you gave me = work in/near Atlanta. Many weeks (months?) ago, actually. Oh well, if you give me your address where you're at now (Miami, right?), I'll send you another.
BTW, da' punk gets to go to S.F. with us this weekend, staying at a dog-friendly hotel. Lucky dog!

(No, that's not S.B. in the picture. It's a hotel manager's American Eskimo.)

Why bother with all that trouble? Go down to K-mart, Wally-mart, or local auto parts store and pick up a $5 fuse tester/puller. They give you the advantage of being able to check a fuse without pulling it (definitely true if there's no pwoer coming to it; unsure about with power). Tape it to the inside of the fusebox cover.
Another (cheaper) idea: Pull the fuse and look at it. Look at the central connector part (between the two ends). Generally you see:
- The connector is broken
- The transparent plastic is blackened
JEEEZZZZ!!!!!
