Hoho! I see shovels Brian... that has to be in Canada! Expecting a foot on Tuesday
At least my babies are well hidden an the engine is getting out tomorrow (DMF) so it's not going to be a slow winter.

But a foot is nothing for Montreal, I was born there and remember one year (1970?) the snow was so high no one could open their doors, we had to climb out the kitchen window, find the shovel, and dig all day to clear the driveway. Then the snowplow came along and made a 3 foot pile at the end of the driveway that had to be dug out again.
Thank heaven Calgary is in the Pallliser Triangle, rare if we get as much as 3 feet in the whole season... Lots in the mountains though, skiing is usually outstanding!
Is that a Lotus lurking in the corner?

Missed the snowstorm of the century (born jan 71) but sure heard about it. I have to say 2009 was pretty bad here although somewhat less sudden then 1970.
Yep, 87 Esprit turbo, very different beast. I really enjoy the differences, driving or working on each of them.

First one a couple months ago when changing oil- such fun in a 993... second a couple days ago cleaning the undercarriage- which needs it badly. A good winter project...

main garage is 24'x40', the back 16' x 24' section was purposly built for previous 911's..but has fallen victim to bicycles since 1995. It serves as the summer staging area for the 993, as well as the wifey's indoor parking. Pictured, is a rear view of the "shed", which was essentially a dog/garden shed while growing up(yes..I live in the house I grew up in), was expanded to 16' x 24' in 2010, to house the 993 in the winter months.
A scissor lift was recesed in the slab addition, HO flourescent lighting on the side walls, and a natural gas heater to make it comfortable.
Not a fancy space, no big screen tv, and I still gotta pee out the back door unless I want to go back in the house, but...usefull none the less.
edit;forgot to say..never had a VW Corrado, but I drove a 90 Audi Coupe Quattro for 13 years, and 276K miles. That was another VW family odd ball, every Corrado I ever saw would wave. Gotta scan the old film pics of that car, had a few different looks over the years, er...wrecks, and rebuilds that is. from 8" round ralleye lights thru bolted on the front bumper, to a euro dual round set up. Was a real fun car, had about everything sans a turbo you could do to a bastard child Audi in the day...unique fully adjustable(ride height and dampening) coil over suspension, cams, head work, ECU work, factory header, big tube exhaust...still only made MAYBE 210hp. That car was loud as hell, rode rough as a one ton stake race empty, but above 6K rpm, was a complete hoot.

I'll play along; The household garage measures 40ft by 36ft with three 9ft entrance doors.
Pictured is Lilly the PWD guard dog at the ready ..
Summer '16 project is to saw-cut concrete floor fitting a slightly lower Bend-Pak scissor lift. Santa Claus finally delivered the lift . . . .

I also had a Portugeuse Water Dog, Sparky, who "guarded" my rides and assisted me in the garage for ten years. Sadly, I lost my best friend and constant companion just a few days before Christmas. I'd trade every car I own to have her back.
Wax you car and hug your puppy for me.

[mi don't know about other garages but what you have in your garage is superb. How do they compare to each other?

Man,,,, sorry to hear of Sparky's loss, that's a tough time frame. Fond memories of a great companion and "Best Friend" are the very best moments to have.
+1 . . "I'd trade every car I own to have her back" .. With no ego we would join this sentiment. Our pups companionship is a constancy, the very best constant. Portuguese Water Dogs are one of the very best...... smart!
All the very best -
