Default more vw content

I spy a poster of a Mk2 gti 16v with rallye grille and headlamps in a close to matching color to your arena red goddess…

Love my dub,……
1.everyone complements on how great it sounds, VR6
2.no one knows what it is, de badged I get a lot of "nice scirocco bro" i gave up along time ago time ago trying to correct people and explain the VW product line from the 90's and just say thanks now…

Great to know a lot of us clawed up the car food chain with the same taste and budgets at one time…Rennlist, this is truly a great place...

Why am I posting this photo? Underneath is my old 993 C4S back in Australia. Woke up to a noise about 3am one day and the ceiling had collapsed. Couldn't get the roll-a-door up, so tried to take some weight off until I could get a friend to come around and help. No damage to either car, or my old school BMX bikes. Just to keep that theme going which has appeared in a couple of the pictures so far.

Whoa- thats crazy. Glad the cars weren't hurt...or the BMX bikes

Do you have pictures of your 993 in the garage?

I can't remember if it was water or solvent based stain but I remember being told that one of them is bad under epoxy. Probably the water based but I'd check that. The place was an old machine shop and had lots of oil on the floor so after mopping I wiped it down with xylene and a rag. It's nasty stuff which may explain the tick I recently developed.

I wanted it to look like asphalt. I rolled on a thick coat of black and applied a coarse spray of light gray through a squirt bottle while the black was still wet. You have to do about a 5'x10' area at a time. It's best with 2 people. Make a sample first to get the spray right. It takes a few minutes for the gray to settle in. It was real slick at first but is got duller and less slippery over time. PM me if you need any more specific info.
PMing you.
I've been waiting to do floor until i saw something i really liked.
your floor is a winner!

I remember the day I had to remove the whole dash to replace the leaky heater core

and more floor envy!
I also graduated from a VR6, although a Mk3 Jetta. The heater core was not a fun job!

I'm not sure if gifs work on here, but I created this one back in the day to document it!
