Spoke with the seller. Very upfront about the paint and seems like a super nice guy.

Beautiful car. Honestly, who cares about the repaint? I would much prefer a flawless paint job that has been redone than a pitted and rock chipped original. What gives?

How many 356s on the white-glove circuit have original paint?

well said. don't understand the fanaticism around this either, to me it's it's like fretting over whether the air in the tires is original german fill from the factory.

i understand the "original" paint may have been the litmus test for an accident free car. but today many repaint the car, not to cover up or repair damage, but to restore it's original stunning beauty.

Thanks Bro.

Been restoring a BMW motorcycle over the last year, my father gave to me. Now that it's sorted, I have some time for the luxury of a 993.
