Hello,

I'm a new user and searching for my first Porsche. I found an ad for a 1996 911 convertible in Santa Monica. I would appreciate any mechanic recommendations for a PPI in the area.

Otto's in Venice would be the closest shop I can think of. No affiliation, but I know a few RLers on here that use that garage with success.

There are plenty of great shops in SoCal, but none closer to Santa Monica that I can think of.

Another option would be Red Line Service, 3387 Livonia Ave, Los Angeles, CA not too far from

there is an exotic mehanic that works on porsches on broadway rt around 15th st the place is full of very nice cars

Callas is definitely the guy to go to but not for a budget shopper.

I had a very good result with Paul Szyszkowski at Foriegn Sport Technicians, 1301 Broadway, Santa Monica, CA 90404. Paul assisted me as a buyer w/an eleventh hour PPI on a fairly high-priced and much sought after 964. I needed to close the sale on this car prior to the holidays. -- Literally, I called Paul on Wednesday afternoon, he fit my PPI in on the Thursday and I was able to release a wire transfer by mid-day on the Friday before the Christmas WKND.
