Are you talking about a Alfa Romeo? Why would anyone trade for that?

I have owned a '96 993 which I thoroughly enjoyed to 100k miles. I still regret selling that car. I own an '07 C4 and throughly enjoy it as well. Two different cars....different experiences...both wonderful. The 993 is about the raw, mechanical "music" and gokart-like driving experience. The C4 adds some traction to driving in heavy rains and may light snow ... but the all-wheel drive does add a meaningful factor to the driving experience.

Yes, I would trade a 993 for a C4.

@ezdriver... he's talking about an Alfa 4C.

And, NO. It looks like an alien. I wouldnt trade my 993 for one. I mean, if I were out spending $60k on a mid engine sports car, it'd be in the running but I would never trade my 993 for one.

Not me. I think the 4C is a sharp looking car, though. I've not driven it, either. Nevertheless, I just invested $$ in my 993 for maintenance et al. For whatever reason, the thought of reallocating that $$ into another car - new or pre-loved - just never saw the light of day in my brain.

4c is cool and a fun car to drive (no stick kills it for me), but it definitely feels less useable, has some dodgy assembly quality, and the powerplant is a little buzzy.

I think its a fun car for a while, but I don't think I'd want to own it for many years.

no, i wouldn't trade.

Dude, set down the crack pipe!

EDIT

Apparently I was starry eyed with the technology built into the 4C, but after doing some extensive reading on the subject; Jjm4life is correct!

On anything other than a glass smooth surface, the 4C feels like walking a pack of dogs through a butcher shop.

Drive them both and get back to me. I've Had 2 s111 lotus. Truly special cars. The Alfa feels boring by comparison. Plus it sounds terrible. Not like lotus sound great, but certainly not as bad as the Alfa. I was stuck behind one last weekend on my motorcycle, the sound was worse than the new m4.
Either way, I'll keep my 964.
