Default Fister III's & cat bypass?

Anyone running this setup?
How loud? any clips?

Have the FD's now and thinking about adding the x pipe.

I agree with TCS, I have stage IIIs and wouldnt go louder. But if you have them already and need more bang, then its the logical next step to try.

Why bother with mufflers just skip the whole exhaust (sarcasm)

On my daily driver, I have Stage 3's and the Fabspeed X-pipe with 200CEL cats. It is very aggressive!!! Lots of popping, gurgling, and backfiring on decel. My air box cover is also pretty well "swiss-cheesed" and this might add to some of that.

I had a Fabspeed bypass on my 993. When I ordered my Fisters, Darin had me go with Stage IIs. He said that Stage IIIs would be too loud and there wouldn't be enough back pressure. The sound of the IIs and bypass was incredible. Had lots of compliments. Zero cabin drone.

Had I known that I would be replacing my Cats in the near future, I likely would have gotten the Stage 2s. And I might still reach out to him for an exchange.

I would have to agree with the consensus that it would be too loud. I had Stage II's and the 200 cell sport cats, and felt that was the near perfect setup. I would start it up and at idle the recurring comment at C&C was "that is the way a Porsche should sound"...but a definite attitude at WOT. I have gone back to stock exhaust as I am getting ready to sell the car, but if I had it to do over I would go either II's and sport cat, or maybe just Stage one and sport cats. :big gulp:

This is pretty much straight exhaust. At lower revs might me similar, but when turbos spool up, it muffles it just enough. No x-pipe, no cats & bypass elbows. Loud pipes save lives, the neighbors don't care about their yippity ****head dogs, so...... :-)

...and here I thought this was only in my hillbilly neighborhood !

BTW, it's not the dogs but rather the dumb *** dog owners that don't bother to train their dogs.

i have fd stage iii and fabspeed cat bypass on my car. to me it sounds perfect, it is very loud. stage iii's alone were too quiet for me, but everyones different. adding the cat bypass makes a big difference in sound vs only doing the mufflers. i would say it is 40-50% louder with the cat bypass than it was with stage iii's only... but it sounds 100% better. well worth it. plus the fabspeed stuff is really nice.
