Default WB Wide Ovals on flebay

http://pages.ebay.com/link/?nav=item...d=261828994238

$350 Buy-It-Now for a pair of OEM wide ovals for a Wide Body 993 (EP 7110). As I understand it, these will fit the S models (2s & 4s), but not the NB 993 and not the 993 TT.

Interesting ... was never aware that exhaust tips were different between NB and WB cars.

yes- and they are hard to find. I have an OEM set that are chewed up like these- was looking at trying to have them refinished. I also have a knock-off set on the car now- which are ALSO hard to find LOL! the offset is key to fitment.

I saw those on Fleabay. Unless one absolutely has to have OEM wide ovals (that are also all scraped up on the bottom) why wouldn't you just buy new WB tips from Fabspeed for $300?

No affiliation...As an option, why not try these? The price point sure seems reasonable in comparison! Yes, I do realize the purists would never consider a non-OEM product; but for those with more cents than dollars; as opposed to dollars than sense.

Good price, but those are not for a wide body.

No affiliation either but in a late night fleabay crawl (fueled by a few Friday beers), I purchased a set of these as inspiration to find my 993. At that price point, they make nice office deck art until they can be installed ... I have many years experience in steel fabrication and will say they are nicely made for the price point but can't (sadly) confirm fitment yet ... grrr

Edit: thanks for confirming they are NB, David993S as WBs are a bit out of my budget right now anyway ... double grrr

Good to know you're pleased with the Fabspeed tips. I am considering getting a WB pair. However I don't really mind my rectangular stock tips. I think if our cars came from the factory with ovals everyone would be paying big bucks for the rectangular ones.

I'll be getting a set of the Fabspeed ovals too. The Ruf tips are my fav, but are impossible to find.

I never really understood why 993's came stock with rectangular tips in an oval opening. I think oval is a much more natural fit in the opening.

Nine9six, I found a wide body version just like those and have them on the car now. They are actually pretty good quality and the price was good..

Wide ovals,....all in the pursuit of perfection.
It's a tip that has just the right look, size, gauge, diameter, and cut.
