I think it's important to distinguish between different shades of white. I have glacier white, which is an option (special wish?). It looks tremendous.

I started this poll and am a fellow glacier white 993 owner! Part of the reason that I started this poll was because it seemed difficult to find a white 993 C4S when I was searching for my car. White seemed to be a color that should be easy to find, but I kept finding several cars of the colors that are already showing as being more frequently owned in this survey - but not white. I was curious to see how 'rare' white is. So far, it is shaking out about where I expected it to, however as you pointed out, if we were to separate out the white variations, it would make the distributions thinner. Unfortunately, with the poll we are limited to 20 options. My thinking behind lumping all of the whites together was because the white colors are mostly driven by model year - but I guess that can be said for some of these other colors? I found that grand prix white was the standard white for 95-96 and glacier was the standard white for 97-98. Of course, you could special order any white thru the exclusive program. I wanted glacier white (a bit brighter color), so it did make my search more difficult. I may have done the white 993 owners a disservice by not splitting out the colors - but we can say that this bucket could be thinned out with more color distributions, making the white colors more sparse than the survey will show.
By the way, after looking only for white for months, I struck white gold when I found my glacier white C4S, which has the factory white painted gauges option (X34) and factory white color matched wheels (XD9)!

You could edit your first post with a breakdown of whites (and other colors) and subscribed to your own thread for the future - you'll get an email when someone bumps it, even if you don't visit the site for months.
The rest of us could all report myflat6 posts above mine with a request to put our hard earned $18 to work and increase the poll size!

I really do need to get pics of my car posted! Maybe I will get to that later today. I already tried to edit my original post, but it only allowed me to edit the narrative piece, not the actual poll graph/data. I am probably missing something, but I did spend time trying. Maybe someone else can help me out? I love the idea of expanding the poll options. Another great poll would be option codes and that would definitely require more categories!
