993 RS Tribute - The Build - The Photo's
As you guys know my car has been featured in Excellence Magazine over the past 12 Months. I have received a lot of very positive comments from Rennlist, friends and complete strangers.
I thought it was about time I made a more compete thread, documenting the build from start to finish and show some more photo's...
This may take a while as I think i have a couple of thousand photo's to go through, videos to edit... But I think you guys will like it.
The Starting point:
The car has always been a track car for, the previous owner bought it back in '97/'98 and started tracking the car then. Ever since I have owned the car it has been my track weapon at our local track here in Calgary. The car had all the mods at the time that were considered the starting essentials for track fun (Pss9's, TRG Swaybars, Race seats and Harnesses) With stock engine and transmission the car proved to be a super reliable and fun track weapon.
Here are some before pics:

An After in her natural environment:
I will be updating this slowly, however it will be worth while

Back in 2011 at the end of a fantastic track season that culminated in a 1800 mile round trip to Miller Motorsport park in Tooele UT, I decided that because our local track was closing the car was due for some TLC...
The list looked something like this:
Full suspension teardown - Front and Rear
New busings, new ERP Links, Solid side mounts
Rebuild front a-arms (walrods were installed a couple of years earlier)
Rebuild steering rack (leaking)
Drop engine and transmission for LWF and new clutch.
General cleaning
993 RSCS Rear Spoiler and side skirts
GT2 Evo 1 front bumper
Interior tidy up.....
All was going well steering rack was apart, suspension was cleaned and upgraded, sunshine and lollipops all round
Leaking Steering rack.. When I pulled back the rubber boot it was full of PS fluid, reasonably clean considering.
The teardown and reseal is actually a pretty easy affair, time and patience and follow the wonderful DIY that was posted by a fellow rennlister and you are good to go.
Transmission and crossmembers getting ready for a little cleanup
