Question 993 Rear Wiper Arm Replacement

Hello,

Does anyone have a useful guide as to replacing the rear wiper arm on the 993? My old one snapped where the metal is joined. I have the part but, haven't attempted to remove the old one and check yet.

Thanks!

I would have thought so but, was wondering about additional seals and linkage that may be involved.

Near the top of the outer arm, where the L piece is riveted to the arm.

It's easy to replace.
Take the nut off, then wiggle/jiggle/pull until it pops loose.
Mine didn't break loose right away, so I searched this forum and didn't find much help.
Went back to it, tried again and it let go.

Prefect, thank you. Looking at the part again, there is nothing that makes it look complicated but, thought it better to ask in advance

Dude be really careful putting in the new one. A friend broke mine a while back when we were detailing the car. I picked up a used replacement from another member on this site. In the process of moving the wiper blade over from the broken arm, I managed to break the arm on the replacement piece! I was amazed how easily it broke it felt like cardboard folding over.

The arm on the rear wiper does tend to break. You can make a nice repair with a thin piece of aluminum angle over the broken parts, grind/file to shape and then fasten in place with small pop-rivets. Some black spray paint and job done.
