I'd be almost willing to bet that these statements were generated by hopeful 993 buyers who are fishing for deals, or people angry that they can no longer afford to buy one.

With low rates, likely on hold for a while, stocks recently making new highs and Porsche not making air cooled cars anymore..... Do they look like such a sell?

With global govt policy looking to reflate to pay down debt an aircooled Porsche surely offers a reasonable diversification in a balanced portfolio?

The market is going up, people are making money again. Doesn't sound like prices will be falling any time soon.

I agree with the comments above, and the sour grapes for those who have waited for prices to drop!

if you look at listings for cars priced in the 40s they are sitting - I think prices have gone up too fast and I'm NOT currently looking to buy a 993, very happy with a Turbo and GT3 in the stable, so no skin in the game for me.

Made the same statement earlier in this thread and was attacked by the usual a$$hats as though I was trying to influence this or other would be sellers. That being said NB 993's are selling all over the board from low 30's to upper 40's (excluding the outliers) depending on the usual variables (condition, mileage, options and color). I felt based on the limited information from the OP this was a "below $35,000 example." And I only expressed my opinion because the OP asked what it was worth.

One other note. It's of my opinion that 993's are undervalued as compared to all other 911 series with the possible exception of the MY74-77 2.7 series. The runup in the 964 coupes have resulted in what few cars are available to be offered for prices exceeding similar 993's. Same goes for the 993TT, which are now trading above MSRP with the exception being 100k+ examples. As long as the economy remains steady or stronger, I expect decent mid mileage (40-70k) manual coupes to trade in the $50-60k space within 2 years and $60-70k in 3-4 years, which would still be at or below their respective MSRP's.

Just checked cars.com, the cheapest 993 coupe with manual is for sale for 45k. That's up from 30's 2years ago, when I was in the market. 30% appreciation.

Coincidentally, the stock market was around 1500-1600 and it's 2000-2100 now, also about 30% appreciation.

Funny, I was trolling fleabay last night, I'm amazed at how many 911's are listed for ludicrous ask/best offer prices, and hardly any looked worth pursuing. I'm really sorry to see this silly marketplace.

My guess is most don't sell, or take a long time to.
