I've just installed heavy duty OE struts 911 512 331 02 'cause i have Aero Kit II rear wing.
The wings lifts up fine but it doesn't pop up when i release it.
rime36 - what struts are you using with the turbo wing?

mine doesn't pop up at all. I don't know how old the struts are but it sounds like it may be a winter project for me.

After replacing the shocks on the frunk & Engine bay several times due to short service life I have given up and have made a genuine Andy approved custom prop made from premium recycled Oak, previously was flooring. Works great never have had to service the shocks since!

SPECIAL OFFER: VIAGRA for your decklid...
SPECIAL OFFER: VIAGRA for your decklid...
Like many others here experience, the years had taken their toll... I tried some enhancements and even some new shock therapy, but my decklid still didn't have that same "pop" that it used to. Searching for answers, I took a long shot and changed the rubbers I had been using.....BINGO! Now with a simple pull, my decklid goes stiffly skywards, ready for action!
What I mean was, even after new shocks were installed, the rear lid wouldn't pop up. So I ordered 2 new rubber stops for the bottom edge of the deck lid:
999 703 132 40 "rubber buffer" in the KATALOG/PET, BUT this comes up in Pelican as a front hood part, so... 999-703-140-41-M136 was the Pelican number that I ordered and it was correct ($1.75/each for OEM).
Super simple to install, as the rubber bumper has a screw-like thread that twists into the rear deck. Likely, you can just adjust your existing ones to stick out a bit more rather than order new, so give that a shot first.

OK - how far out are the rubbers for your dick lid to go stiffly skywards - as opposed to a little premature episode?
And do you have any impediment on the lid which could contribute to the ED?

No wing or anything to hold me down or contribute to the, um, disfunction.
The new shocks would lift the lid fine once started, but it was getting it started that was the issue, so the bumpers fixed that. Several years later now, all is working fine still. My prior hood shocks lasted about 5 years.
