Turbo Front caliper bleed issue
Hi All,
I just had my front calipers rebuilt and refreshed (I won't say where... yet). The problem I have is during bleeding, the inner side of each caliper bleeds easily and as normal,......but the outside bleed nipples on both calipers bleed much more slowly and not fully. This leads me to think that the lower U-shape cross-over hydraulic line on both calipers must be clogged partly. Hmmm?
Any thoughts. TIA
Cheers

Hmmm...try changing, or at least inspecting the outer nipples and their holes in the calipers. If these look clear then something looks amiss internal, possibly the cross-over line you mention.

I would definitely remove the nipple and push some fluid through. This will allow any potential debris to flush out, and at the very least allow you to remove the variable of the nipple itself being the issue.

Make sure the bleed nipple holes are clear - wire & brake cleaner works well.
If yours are corroded or pitted, Brembo-sourced bleed nipples are available separately (Sunset, etc.).

Calipers that have been off the car take a while to bleed. Pretty common. Tap them with a rubber mallet as you bleed to knock air bubbles loose. You're using a Motive? How does the pedal feel?

Sometimes debris gets stuck in the bleeder hole during the cleaning step of the rebuild. Also there can be an issue with the seat in the bottom of the bleeder hole on the caliper. In the end if you can bleed the caliper fast or slow and the bleeder screw does not leak when you close it you are done so exploring this issue may be moot.
