OT: Support my petition to repeal to 25 year import rule
As some of you know I'm a part-time auto journalist, and obviously a 993 owner. I've launched a White House petition to repeal or amend the 25-year rule so enthusiasts can more easily import non-conforming cars sooner. Our friends in Canada can import whatever they want as soon as the car turns 15!

Saw this on jalopnik this morning. Signed it even before I knew a rennlister was behind it. 100k shouldn't be too tough. Can't wait for an official response to a stupid law.

Perhaps you can get a celebrity like Jay Leno behind it as well. He might know someone who knows someone. Also the Secretary of the DOT is a former 2 term mayor of Charlotte, North Carolina, Anthony Foxx. Maybe there is a RLer from North Carolina who is connected to him, in the event the 100k signatures are met and it gets to the next level.
