Interesting find under my driver's seat
Hey All,
I finally got my 993 a few weeks ago. I was doing an interior detail tonight and while I was looking under the driver's seat, I found this medallion from Porsche Customer Commitment. Anyone know about these?

I got one with my car I presumed that it was for lost keys. Which wouldn't help much if you lost them under the seat and

Neat little surprise. Do those numbers match any part of the VIN at all? It is for lost keys, I wonder if it's tied to the VIN or just random numbers assigned to the purchaser.

It came in tiny ziplock attached to a leaflet that says to please use attached form to update any change of address etc so that your 'lifetime key protection' remains intact.

on the part where you update the address info it has check boxes for if your vehicle was purchased new or used and also for date acquired - no limitations or restrictions printed.

It came with the car when it was new. Mine is still on my key ring and has been since May 1996. If you have it on your key ring and lose your keys and somebody drops it in the mail, PCNA could find you and return your keys.

That needs to be located on a thick gold chain, open shirt, positioned just above navel (as most owners in the 80's and 90's did).

My original Merkur XR4Ti key chain is similar, though it's a Merkur logo on the front with "Drop in any mailbox. Return postage guaranteed." and a Michigan address on the back.

Way cool....as jotaking noted above there could be a potential retro dress code for 993 owners
