Targa 3rd brake light
Where is it on the stock car without the basket handle?
My Targa has tt spoiler and no 3rd brake light. I've searched through laws governing the issue and it looks like the 3rd brake light is required.
On the coupe, when the basket handle is removed, the brake light is mounted next to the roof, but what one would do for Targa?

Three Wheelin'
Pretty sure all Targas have the basket handle. I'm not aware of anything approaching stock that would work without the basket handle given the Targa roof.
I'm sure you could "engineer" something with a thin string of LEDs on the rear glass, but I've never seen anyone try it.

Yep, all targas had the basket handle. Do you want to keep the TT tail? I have never seen a NB car that looked good with a TT tail. You might be able to find someone with a stock lid and basket handle to trade with you if your tail is oem.
If you do want to keep the tail there was a thread a while back where someone fabricated a nice looking 3rd brake light out of a flexible red led strip.

Nice clean car, the tail gives it an unusual look.
The Wizards of Weissach might tell you the car now has a downforce imbalance in that configuration. You might have to be going kinda fast to notice, but the front might get kinda light at really high speeds with that tail and no front chin spoilers / air dams / splitters.
