Default Stereo delete plate and head unit

In Panorama, May 2014 page 95, there is mention of a small Alpine head unit with iPod connectivity which was installed behind a stereo delete plate (hinged?) in a 964. Has anyone done this and can you provide guidance? This seems like a good solution to those of us who want a minimalist stock appearance and don't care for a CD player. What Alpine head unit was used? Thanks

If you can't find one of those systems, THIS may be an alternative.

I hung out with the owner during Panorama's test drive, & asked him last month at Monterey for you. I received specifics today:

The radio delete panel is fixed/ static; not hinged.
An Alpine KTP-445U amplifier fits behind it.
Inside the glovebox without drilling are the amp's external volume control control & an iPhone connector that plugs directly into the amp's RCA cable inputs.

Although happy with the setup, he'd look into an amp with Bluetooth or a similarly-enabled unit for wireless control if he were to install now.

He has no installation photos, but here's 993 content at Monterey:
