I used britax diplomat but think that is only to 40 lbs. I used I think the Roundabout? and also Dino Radian. I think the radian fit on it the cab for some reason.

Re: belts. I used the belt off a base of the click in base on the diplomat. They were just hooks, not the odd rectangular claw thing that are a lot of the latch now. In retrospect, you could probably use a race harness with the hook mounts on both ends.

You wouldn't need the eyebolt in the pic below but two of the hooks and a 2" race harness and I bet it works.

I'll see if I still have by latch belt. You can have if I do.
Much appreciated. Would gladly give you something for the latch belt!

To get the seat belt to work, you'll need to use a locking clip/plate. I think I've mentioned before however it will only work on the opposite side belt. Which I guess is the only option if you've got the rennline anchors too.

Also place one of the floor mats on the seat bottom and get any type of back support cushion for the back. I believe this helps create more of a levelled seat at least for the back of the seat. Hope that make sense, it's like you want it pushed against the rear with no space.

I don't have the Cosco, but have the Evenflo Tribute and it has zero movement.

I simply used the latch belt of the Costco seat. Mine wasn't too long. I kneeled in the seat and pulled straps on both sides to snug done tight....so tight it was a bear to release tension.

I wonder if the latch belt has changed over time? Mine does not have straps on both sides...only one side to tighten down. Are you using Rennline harness mounts too?

Looking at some of the old posts, looks like many of the boosters are no longer available. Any recommendations for ages 4+ (over 40 lbs)? TIA

I use two boosters.
This cosco seat This cosco seat
fits and also happens to match my car's black and grey interior color scheme.

The unfortunately named
BubbleBum inflatable seat BubbleBum inflatable seat
is what I would actually recommend. Bought it for travel, but it works better with the rear seat belt stalks on our cars. Also has an easy system of straps to make sure the shoulder belt lies over shoulder instead of neck.

Bubblebum might be for older though.

Carseatlady.com gives the criteria.

Every time mine outgrew one, I took a trip to the best baby store, parked out front and just trial fitted everything until they fit.

Regardless of which seat/booster you chose, get all of your weight into seat, as you are cinching it down. And to remember, with a booster, all you’re trying to achieve is “boosting” them into a proper position, for the seatbelt to ride correctly. I have seen so many people misuse all sorts of child restraints. Seat belts primary function is to keep occupants inside vehicle, secondary is to avoid striking vehicle interior, and lastly to keep you in position for AB deployment.

Hey all..

Does anyone have a definitive list of all child seats that will fit into a 993 (mine is a 95 with the tether hooks built into the rear panel already)?

My son is now 3 and would love to be able to take him out in in for a Sunday drive.

Thanks.

I currently use these
Cosco Highback boosters Cosco Highback boosters
for my kids (now 5 and 8) for boosters:

Prior to that, I believe it was the
Britax Boulevard Britax Boulevard
that barely squeaked in there as a full car seat.

The Britax Roundabout had a small enough base to fit as well. My girls used that in my 993 for years. Ended up giving it away to another Rennlister here in Colorado. Works best with the Rennline adapters for the latch system.

And apparently, it comes with a built in rear seat cupholder! A nice addition for a 993!
Sometimes I feel like I would benefit from a sippy cup in the front seat as well!
