Ray also has an 800 mile 997 Turbo S for about 40% of this price.

2 years ago his price for a similar 993 turbo s was around $200k.

Yes, this makes sense (sitting on it if you can).

But what doesn't make sense is the crazy asking price. I believe the highest sale price for a 993tts was around $270K. These guys need to make top dollar on their cars and I can respect that considering how hard it is to get truly good aircooled cars. But advertising crazy high prices seems like all it would do is help stagnate the market, which can't help when trying to get more aircooled cars - even for the best. Everyone thinks they are sitting on gold when they see these prices.

Actually Aston Martin of Chicago sold the purple TT S with 25,000 miles for $295. Sloan sold some sub 20,000 mile cars in the $3xx,xxx range. I don't think any of the sub 10,000 mile cars have traded hands recently

There could be a tts locked away with virtually no miles on it, but on the other hand, this eBay car could very well be the finest example on the planet.

I know of a sub-5,000 mile car that went quietly for over $400K. We'll see how long these values keep accelerating, I think there is an "adjustment" coming as they say in the business.
