THIS SATURDAY >>>>> NY/NJ/CT Tri-State RL Fun Run <<<<< MAY 3!
Spring weather has finally arrived in the northeast, & your P-car wants out to do what it was made for: get out & drive!!!
Stir-crazy RLers can rev up their engines & release their rides on scenic twisty roads. Mine's been pent up at the NY Auto Show for ~2 weeks & needs to run
Time: this Sat, May third at 8 AM. (Drivers' briefing by 8:15; depart by 8:30.)
Overview: Enjoy carving corners for ~1.5 hours to group lunch, then other scenic roads back. (Specifics handed out at drivers' briefing.)
Meeting point: the tried & true commuter parking lot by Palisades Interstate Pkwy's Exit 5 (between Kings Hwy & Washington St).
Just bring good weather; I'll bring the Munchkins

I'm in.
Can pick up Greg C from Manhattan on my way to the George W bridge. Someplace on the East Side of Manhattan close to the FDR drive.
I have one question : how long do you expect the whole event/drive to take? I'm wondering what time we'll be finished because I might need to plan a few things later in the day.
Thank you.
Nick.

sorry I've been a lil unresponsive, I've been placed essentially in charge of the route making. I have two idea's rolling around in my head regarding this.
first: starting from the rest/park and ride spot on palisades parkway, we head north on the parkway before exiting, to follow some roaads through and around Bear Mtn, concluding at Barnstormers BBQ on rt.9W
second: starting from the same location and following much of the same route, we will eventually follow seven lakes drive west bound and a few select other roads I know of in southern NY before ending at a winery located in Warwick, NY.
as mentioned in the original post, there is possibly a chance of driving some more after the winery/bbq. in which case I will work on a route around bear mountain for the BBQ place. The winery after drive, I have already planned in my head and can end at a scenic overlook off of route 80. This allows people to drive eastbound to NYC area to go home, and those going west can do so as well.
I will highly suggest a ride along person for each person, Navigator. if you cannot supply one, hand held radio's from my experience are a great help. the directions will be laid out in such a manor that if separated a stop location address will be provided which will allow the lost member to catch up.

There's a reason why Dave (87 944 C) ^^ is at the top of the attendee list:
When I invited him to a smaller group drive, he promptly responded that he'd already been planning routes, & volunteered to help.
The rest is history -- he's our master cartographer!
No apology needed, amigo: a drive of this scale wouldn't be possible without you

Thank you, sir: you've been updated from the 'Maybe' list to the 'Might'
Seriously: YOUR 1ST POST! Welcome to Rennlist
The mythical beast might be as likely to show up as a real-life sighting of Sasquatch, but I've got my hopes up.
I've known a friend of the owner for ~5 years, & I always wanted to personally experience its acceleration. The owner recently made direct contact, & I immediately asked if he'd bring it out.
He confirmed what I'd heard: that CT3s have the highest torque of any production 993.
If anyone has a hyperlink to an official press statement or car magazine review that officially legitimizes that achievement, please share
