I may have missed it or forgot, but what caused you to go with the scissor lift instead of a 2 post?

Hi Quad
Two post would be ideal but the building has a timber frame floor system for aesthetic reasons, I did not want the clutter of adding two more ugly steel posts, if the buildings only purpose was mechanical work then I would have gone that way, I am shooting for a more finished look inside and love the idea of the scissors being flush with the floor when down, I am installing a full height lift though so I should be able to walk under it , ceiling heights are about 10'-4"

that's correct... the barn's secondary purpose is to put up rennlist members overnight as we take on large, multi car projects. Private bedrooms w soaking tubs, cafeteria, dry cleaning and room service.

Some new photos of the front elevation
The cedar brackets, rafters and decking are going in
The front is really starting to take shape
I am very excited, it looks better then i envisioned

How about next weekend?
This weekend i am headed to historics at lime rock on saturday and then one final weekend at the beach
