Default Defroster Relay

Hello,

I need your help for checking the defroster relay of my C4 '95. I have checked out other "5 pins" relays with the multimeter tool but they were all marked as it folllows: 87 - 87c - 86 - 85 and 30.

This one is like this (See picture):

So I don't know what pins named as "E", "15" and "31" are... Any help?

Thanks!

I mean... Looking at the diagram what are the negative and positive pins of the coil?
I want to apply 12V to the coil and see what happens. It should make a "click". Isn't it?

This is no normal relay, but equipped with a timing circuit as well, closely integrated with the switch in the dashboard. Terminal 31 is GND, Terminal 15 is (ignition)switched +12V, terminal 30 is permanent +12V. I have not digged deep into the funtion of this relay, but expect it to react of an impulse from the switch (on Terminal E?) to switch on and off the relay. Once on, the timer will switch it off.
Here's a explanation on the Terminal labels.
Cheers,
Tore
