I put no stock in owner descriptions, without physical verification.
Reference the post on the ebay Bird Armrest link. Ad said "Good shape". Then, it also noted the ratty looking thing needed recovering.
Then, there is the fact a car that is almost 20 years old has a lot of parts that are OLD-low mileage can backfire, as well.

I can totally respect you guys on here. I'm new to the Porsche world as u can see. I am a muscle car collector and own a few Shelby mustangs. I have always loved Porsche and always will. Don't pass judgment upon a fellow cat enthusiast. I'm not a dealer just a car guy, my gosh. I prob should have introduced myself first , but I hope passing judgment on people u don't know is not a common practice on here. I can understand what your saying but I just wanted a few opinions. Guess I got them.

We need more cat enthusiasts on here. I have a tabby named Hercules.
This forum sees lots of these threads and most of the time they are thinly veiled auctions. If people actually paid to become a member and explained how they aren't a dealer/flipper etc. before posting this type of thread, I don't think anyone would mind.

Paid up member and pictures in album. That's more like it!
Now as to value, I think a good way to get what you want is throw out a number.....which you have (55K). Seeing that you're in California, I'll assume US dollars. We're now a lot closer to what you're looking for.
In the current, heated market that we have, a dealer would likely ask a similar number to what you've suggested, maybe even a bit more. As I've always thought, better to ask a bit too much and adjust downwards rather than not ask enough and see it snatched away without getting as much as you could.
Narrow body, manual transmission, unmolested, low mile coupes are quite hard to find these days. Another bonus is that narrow body coupes ceased being produced for North America after 12/96. Attractive colour combo is also a plus.

Wow, this thread turned out much differently than I thought. Just read through the whole thing now. Your car looks amazing! I hope you get you $53-55k for it since that puppy needs to be DRIVEN and not just sitting in your garage!
The odd thing is that 5 years ago, you would have gotten less than this for it.
You're selling at the perfect time. You're simply a man of few words so I judged your original post and motives wrongly. It's all good, man. Good luck with your sale if and when you sell it.
