Looks like a nice deal with tips, too. To buy used stock exhaust, send to FD to convert, add ceramic coating, and shipping, it would run you around 950.
I know this maybe a stupid question...but who, what , or where is this Gillet that your referring too?
The muffler type is either Gillet or Bischoff. It is stamped on the muffler. (Look closely at the photos of the muffler in question and you can see Gillet stamped in a couple shots.)
Apparently each brand has a different clamp/pipe end style. If you go to the Fister website they mention the two types also.
Do you "have" to have Gillet on your car to make these work?
These are Gillet muffs.
If you have Gillet cats, these are direct bolt on.
If you have Bischoff cats, these will still mount directly to it. You don't need to use the sealing donuts to install your tips.
In my case I have Gillet cats and Bischoff muffs. All I needed was to add the sealing donuts to install my tips.
Hope I didn't confuse you
