Default Good or Bad ? total new respray to Gulf Blue ?

I am thinking of giving to my C2S 1998 Paladio/Mirage L555 car, a total Gulf Blue respray !

What do you think ?

I always loved this Gulf color.

Even if mine is a REAL rare color (only one identified in the US), I'll be keen to change... as I dont see this color 'fun' enough...

Is it a bad idea ?...

...noooooooo I like the blue but it's just not right for the car, maybe a 74 cadi. The current color is classy man, keep it! And both my kids agree with me... So, there you go. It's official!

It's your car, do as you wish. I would NEVER change the original color. Try a wrap if you want something different. I like what you have now.

Do it , love the golf blue. I'm sure if you ever to eventually sell the car you'll find someone that will love the golf blue.

If you want to paint it photograph before t show any flaws that will be repaired . Have it painted by an auto restoration company. Every thing will have to be removed and vehicle and it will probably have to be painted at least partially on a rotisserie lift. Have all work photographed and documented. You will increase the value of you car and have what you want. It's just a matter of $$.

I would change a color on a low mile car with excellent paint. If i had a car with higher miles and trashed paint I would consider it.

Don't paint it. Do a complete wrap. Guy here in Vancouver completely wrapped his in Riviera Blue and it looks great!

If it were a "normal" color, sure do what you want. But it is a rare color, so I'd counsel buying a c2s in a boring color and paint that!

A car's value is always greater in it's original factory applied color. Here's a link to some pictures of a wrapped Riviera Blue car. The owner painted the rear spoiler, mirrors, and door handles parts with sharp enough edges and curves impossible to wrap cleanly.

I've seen the car in person on several occasions and it it quite remarkable, best of all it is easily converted back at any time.
