Default FS: 993 Sport Springs

I was gonna put these in my C2S but after riding in Marc's car, I have decided on the PSS10s....

the springs came off a 16k mile 1996 C2 with factory sport suspension...

I believe they are M030s based on the green/orange markings...please correct me if wrong...

the left pair look shinier than the right because I just cleaned them but all are in great condition...they are taking up space in the garage...

asking $150 + shipping

Good move Jonathan! PSS10's are definitely worth it. Makes your 993 drive the way it should have straight from the factory.

Even my wife noticed how nice the car handled!

Hmm.. Look like standard m032, not sport shocks, based on this info (credit: timothymoffat):

Pirated from user "InTheAir"'s DIY suspension install thread:

Quote:
In the event one is trying to distinguish which of the many Porsche springs are currently on their car or received from their supplier, the following paint color markings should prove helpful (thanks to Viken for the info):

Front Springs:

ROW M029: 993.343.531.00 - Red
ROW M033: 993.343.531.04 - Blue
ROW M030 & Turbo: 965.343.531.01 - Orange/Green
USA M032: 964.343.531.11 - Green
USA M030 & Turbo: 964.343.531.12 - Orange

Rear Springs:

ROW M029: 993.333.531.02* - Violet or 993.333.531.03* - Grey
ROW M033: 993.333.531.21* - White or 993.333.531.22* - Lilac
ROW M033 Carrera S/4S: 993.333.531.23 - Pink
ROW M030: 993.333.531.11 - Brown
ROW Turbo: 993.333.531.16 - Red
USA M032: 993.333.531.18* - Gold/Yellow or 993.333.531.19* - Silver
USA M032 Carrera S/4S: 993.333.531.18 - Gold/Yellow
USA M030: 993.333.531.13 - Light Blue
USA Turbo: 993.333.531.17 - Yellow/Green

* Depending on vehicle equipment: With or without air conditioner in combination with wheel size and transmission version.

Default PSS10's?!

Can you elaborate on the response you had to the PSS10 set up... is your choice in relation to road or track use... I am seriously considering this set up as I want the adjustability, but don't want it too hard on the street, as that is the majority of my driving, spirited or otherwise. Thanks for any further insight.

Who? timothymoffat, InTheAir, or Viken?

...Probably all three of them, with my luck.

Right now, I'm just driving my 993 on the street. And so does Jonathan. We both drive targas, so the improved handling not only greatly improves our ride, but also keeps our tops silent.

I keep the settings at 5 and 5 (front and back). Car drives like a dream! I consider myself a spirited driver. But I'm planning on doing some auto-x, in which case I can adjust for that.

PSS10's are a fantastic mod to our cars. The one downside is cost. But, for me, it more than makes up for it in fun. Next mod for me is stiffer anti-sway bars.

Thumbs up

Thanks for the info... mine is a C2. I am in same boat, want street performance, but dont want to sacrifice comfort... I am in LA, think you are OC where roads are better I might AutoX, likely nothing more... that said, I would like the adjustability for backroads, etc.

Are there any special considerations for a stock install if I am not adjusting anything else right now? Can I have a normal shop do it? From some of the threads it looks to get complex...

Have you been able to definitively determine which springs these are?

I thought the PSS10 was the shock not the spring! I bought 2 new shocks for my front and was going to reuse the spring. Is there a better spring I should be using, if so why?
