I have had a few questions:

- I do have the Wedge Engineering brackets that allow these to mount in a 993/964, they are included.

- The seats are located in Richland, WA 99354 for shipping purposes.

Thanks for all the compliments and PM's so far.

I have a pair of Genuine Recaro A8-2nd generation seats. They come complete with rails for a 993 or 964. The are black leather with Charcoal Gray Alacantara centers.

The seats are easily a 9/10. The only wear is some scuffs on the backs of the seats, very minor.

Direct fit in a 993 or 964, not sure about earlier models. Only issue on A8's in these cars is that you can't run the recliner ***** on the inside of the seat but recliner ***** on outside of seats works just fine.

VERY RARE, these were bought back in 2007 as part of a Rennlist group buy. Unobtanium here in the US. About the coolest seat you can install in a 993 or 964. Just going a different direction with my car...

Price is $3500 + shipping

OMG!!

Congrats to you and the new owner!

Incidentally, there are some Wedge Engineering brackets up on eBay right now. They are the same ones I used to mount A8s in my car. No affiliation:

A8's are the best seats I ever owned... I regret selling mine 10 years ago. Never thought I'd own a Porsche to put em in! LOL. Congrats to whoever bought these.

I was torn between vw and Audi. I thought the stitching of the door panels looked Audi-ish, but as the former owner of a 95 jetta I should have recognized the handbrake and little compartment behind the handbrake!

I bet that thing moved! What wheels were those?

(I'm hoping that since the seats sold the OP doesn't mind the hijack!)

Haha... well, the stitching on the door panels isn't common. Theyre Mk2 Golf Rallye panels. And the ebrake handle and compartment behind it are from a Mk3 but I did the entire Mk3 dash swap with center console (euro no cupholders) and center tunnel parts. I went a little haywire on the Mk2 LOL. 341HP/350Torque at 17psi.

They were Edition S1's. 16x8 and 16x9 w/ 195/40 and 215/35's

More A8 Content for futures sake I dont think mine were assembled back correctly after recovering in leather LOL. They were cloth originally.

Those wheels look very RS-ish!

As for the seats going back together correctly, when I took mine apart, I found that Recaro had used a thick strip of cardboard (seriously) stitched to the fabric that was the perfect shape to stick in that channel on the seat back. Thus kept the fabric on the seat. My upholsterer had a hard time replicating this too. Especially with leather as it was then too thick to accommodate anything else AND fit in that small channel.

I wonder what everyone else's experience is with the small channel on the seat back of the A8. I kind of just figured I was the only one that found it difficult to work with!
