Default what is the best fitting carbon fiber hood 993

was hoping to loose a little more weight
which brand is the best fit and price
if any one was a used one
or if have installed one
any infor would great

Getty usually has the best fit. FG is easier to work with.

Wouldn't loosing weight in the back be more effective? Then the top.

For balance yes, but actually the hood is fairly heavy, but it also offers protection in the event of a head on.

The hood does not really afford any measure of occupant protection in a frontal collision.

I had a CF hood on my car for a few years. It fit pretty well -- but not perfectly. The curvature of the hood along the fenders was a little high, and after a while it's all I noticed, so I went back to steel. Would gladly use a FG or CF hood if there was one out there that fit right.

What brand hood were you using?

Not sure -- I bought it used. But the quality was excellent. Real CF, not CF laminated over FG. And the fit really was quite good. Just not quite good enough.
