Rear Seat Delete - Anyone fabricate a facsimile?

I apologize, but this has been on my list. I have a 3D CAD model of the RSD done, but wanted to build it before I made the files public to make sure I had it right.
Also I have a Cab, and the Coupes are different. I did do a dimension check and need to still update the file. I will move this back up the list.

Hrmmmm....I have a friend who has a contact in the car interior industry--not an upholsterer, but a guy who makes OEM quality formed plastic/leatherett/etc parts for trucks, etc. Door panels/handles, dashboard bits, etc.
I'll reach out to him to see if they might have any interest in making something that isn't just carpeted wood.
They should be able to do a full feature RSD (with storage doors, allows full seat removal, compound curved construction, lightweight, etc) that's plug and play.

I am just finishing one that I constructed out of Porsche actual parts (new and used), just doing the final fitting now. Will post pictures hopefully this weekend.

I don't mean to hijack this thread, but if any of you have black rear seats you want to unload, pm me.

We are all in the same boat in wanting a RSD, but not finding a practical solution. Thought we were onto something a few years back with the "simplified design" that's more like a shelf...

Marine grade plywood is 5-ply 1/4", very light and strong.
We use it for the floorboards in airplanes.
I would love to have a RSD with both top and vertical door access.
Thanks,
Dave

Is there any chance the doors and ***** for the OE RSD are the same parts as the glove box cover and ****? They look similar...

Nope, not the same .... and there is a left and right door as well, so even if it did, you would only have one side unless you ordered it from the UK.
