Where are you sourcing the light weight heated windshield?

I like the X bars on the doors vs nascar bars. They seem to stiffen the chassis better. They are more than safe enough as long as there is good spacing between the drivers side and the bars.

Chassis work is finished and I brought it home last weekend. Next we will fit every part that will go on the car, then disassemble for blast and paint.

I was going through the electrics in my mind and made a list of consumers (and other electrics). I will re-use nothing from the street car wiring.
There will also not be any fuses or relays but I will use Motec PDM (Power distribution module) instead. This will save a lot of weight and wiring.
The harness will be 3-part; Rear, Cabin and fwd part with plugs on both firewalls.
We will use only proper Raychem wires with automotive spec plugs.

The good thing is the list is very short for a race car:

FRONT PART
Power Steering pump
Fuel pumps 2+2pcs
Battery
Running lights
Blinkers
Wiper motor
ABS pump
ABS brain
Heated windscreen
Fresh air fan
Shock sensors???
ABS wheel sensors

CABIN
Motec Dash
Warning lights
toggle switches
* Fuel pump on
* Ignition on
* PS pump on
* lights on
* 3 aux toggles
Switches on steering column:
* Blinker switch
* Flash switch
+12V switched outlets (cameras, lap timer etc.)
Motec ECU
Motec PDM
Pedal sensors:
* throttle sensor
* Brake sensor

REAR PART
Engine harness
Shock sensors???
ABS wheel sensors
Tail lights
Brake lights
Blinkers
Additional brake light on rear window
Brake cooling fans??

Fantastic build to follow Juha :-)
Regarding your ABS brain have you sourced a CUP ABS brain?
If not you can and they offer better functionality and most import and they do not have the "black ice function " of the standard unit. The number is : 993.618.125.70 !
Keep the pictures and info coming:-)

I think I will go with the latest Bosch motorsport ABS. Even the ABS system has developed some from the 993 days, or that's what I'm told. Allthough I'm sure the 993 CUP ABS system is a HUGE improvement over the street ABS and the difference between the latest system and the one from the days of the 993 is probably not nearly as big...

We put the pig in the rotisserie.... (in Finland we call Porsche by the nickname of possu, which translates into pig)

Fitting in the EVO flat bottom. It looks like I have to bolt in the rear subframe first and start working from there towards the front.

I first thought the flat bottom would be much lower than the existing bottom of the car (because it is on the same level as the side skirts that reach 70mm lower than the sides of the street GT2/turbo sheet metal skirts), but, the sides of the turbo are actually higher than the bottom of the car. I never noticed this before.
So the flat bottom actually attaches directly to the bottom of the car.

I think I am missing the pieces between the bottom panelling and the side skirts though. Have to ask from Hans about it.

Started fitting the Carbon/Kevlar doors as well:

Nice work going on.

But you're nog missing something, the normal sideskirt's reach further so the connect to the undertray

The English colloquialism is "Porker" which means fat pig, although obviously yours has gone on a diet

You are absolutely right! I looked at the same photo today as well. My side skirts are from FVD and the flat bottom panels are from Hahn GFK. I suppose the easiest fix is to add a fixed panel on either the side skirt or the middle panel.

The rear diffusor angle is quite steep...makes you wonder how effective it is? The flow will not follow the panel (angle is too big) so there will be some turbulence. Maybe it's supposed to be like that? Cannot judge aero by just one piece; it is the complete setup that needs to work.

indeed its quite steep, but i don't know anything about aero so i quess it works, otherwise why would they designed it this way ?

The problem we also had with the diffuser was that the exhaust made contact with it, so we needed to make cut-outs for this, then we also made some scoops for the drive-axles

Shouldn't have problems with these pipes...

Unless it's the manifolds?

Do you have any photos of your (ex?) GT2? I would love to get more photos!
