Default Partnumber on 993RS tail

Does anyone know if a genuine RS tail has a partnumber on it. I have an option on one without a 993 partnumber, it does have the small Porsche triangle.

Thanks

I don't think there's a part number stamped on them, but the factory RS wing is very distinctive from all the aftermarket versions because of it's understructure. Porsche molded in a stiffening ledge along the forward mating surface and the factory piece, with it's tighter tolerances, nests lower into the decklid and is designed to mate with nothing between the two parts. All of the aftermarket wings just have a big open space under them and almost always need a lot of handwork to mate well with the decklid .. and after that, they still sit quite proud ... so much so that many have to use a plastic 'beading' at the mating surfaces to hide the 'gap' ...

Mine also did not have a part number. Here is a picture of it before it was repainted.

^^^ Yup, dat be factory (you fortunate bastich .. :-). You can see the small rectangular indentation between those forward mounting points that looks like it might have been where the factory applied a p/n sticker .. but of course, that would be removed for paint/prep ...

Order it at the dealer, Gert, or find it online somewhere.

Just FYI, my replica tail from GT3Tek needed a fair amount of work to make it fit well. It looks good now after my top notch body shop played with it for a good week. But it certainly wasn't plug-n-play on arrival.

^^^ I think Gert's package price plus custom's duty is much better than even Sunset's package .. you'd have to ask both about getting just the tail
