i'm definitely in for some lunch afterwards and bbq is the perfect meal. there's a Spring Creek bbq right down the road from RAC, but others might have suggestions of better 'texas' bbq. spring creek is just super convenient. my office is about a block from that restaurant and we go there frequently for monday 'meeting lunches'.

there's also a Twin Peaks at beltline and the tollway that has surprisingly good food and beer and the waitresses are easy on the eyes.

i've only been here 4 years and 95 degree days in the summer now feel mild - seriously. it's nothing like 95 and high humidity in the mid-atlantic region. the first summer i was here was the 3 months or whatever of 100+ days, missing the all-time record by one day, iirc. i remember multiple days heading home from work at 110-112. THAT was insane. everything since then has been a breeze. i thought i made the worse mistake ever that first summer!!!

I am flying in on Friday and hoping to avoid the rental car. Dinner Friday night with Opo (Rudy,) bbs993tt (Brian) is picking me up for the event on Saturday, and hopefully I can ride along with someone for lunch :D
