Default San Diego area engine drop party Nov 30(?)

Hey guys, it's time for the clutch and the other 76k service items on old Sapphire. I'm grounding myself from travel after 12/6, but I'd like to use the T-day weekend to pull the engine. I'm probably going to unhook most stuff on Friday 11/29 to minimize actual drop time needed on 11/30, so if anyone is free Saturday to lend a hand, beer and Leucadia Pizza is on me. Friday visitors are welcome too. I'm in Encinitas, and can send address via PM.

With my lift, and some good progress on Friday, it should be fairly simple on Saturday. Mostly, the extra sets of eyes, and help getting the lump on my engine stand is what is needed.

If that weekend is absolutely horrible, we could do it 12/7, but I don't get home until late 12/6, and I'd like to have the weekends in Dec to poke around her and do what is needed. Target reinstall is 12/28.

Let me know if you can make it, thanks!

Ed,

Sounds good, I'm pretty decent at drinking early and supervising.

Great Brian! We will apply the "It's 5 o'clock somewhere" rule.

Well, parts are ordered! At least most of the expensive ones. I'll have another round when I get the motor on the stand and make final decision on full scope.

Same here. Just checked my calendar... should be free Nov. 30. Ed, you did mean free beer, right?

Hey Niche, wanna race down there? Ya missed Cars & Coffee today... it was a good crowd. Also, I referred a new Porsche owner to PCA... the son of Mohson's gas Stn. (the Mission Ave. and Coast Hwy ones) just bought a Panamera a few weeks ago.

Thanks guys! Of course, the beer will be free-and varied.

Javier-you need to book your time on the lift for 11/9, if we are still doing your wires?

Ed, I won't be much help, but would like to see how it's done and maybe help with the grunt work.

Eric, you're welcome to watch, provide psych support, help or whatever level you want; you're more than welcome to come by.

Ed, Javi,
11/9 is an AX, so I can't make it if you are doing wires (a job I need to do) that day...
11/30 is another AX, but pretty sure I'll be out of town that wknd anyways. I'll get in on the "stuff it back in" party if that is few weeks later.

I was going to ask if you needed an ATV jack but I think you have a lift. If you need it, let me know. I will be there.
