Steven,
I read the article last night - fantastic. Looking forward to the next installment.

Unfortunately my OCD kicked in and I immediately drained the Dung Beetle's oil.

Looking forward to next episode. Thanks for documenting!
I am having trouble waiting for the next one

Nice looking GR 993 & great article to boot. I will be looking forward to reading what you'd end up.
Q~How many miles was on when this happened and as someone else asked, is this something that's going to happen to our car eventually?

Having just read the Excellence article, couldn't help but to take notice of the full page ad on the opposing page #125; Its an ad for the 996 IMS "inter-mediate shaft" experts at Flat 6 Innovations.

Steven, you are one lucky dude. Can't wait to read of your choice, #3.

The car has 65500 miles, However about 80% have been track miles.

I would not be concerned with this being indicative of potential issues to come. Aircooled 911 Engines have been using an intermediate shaft bearing for a long time with 10 of millions of miles on them. This is a freak occurrence based on the conversations I have had with a number of experts.

That was the first article I went to when my issue came a couple days ago. Happy to see it's a Rennlister's car. How many parts is the series going to be?

Is your avatar photo a before or after?

Steve, I just came across it while leafing though the magazine earlier this morning at the local grocery store. I'll pick up a pristine copy at Chapters later.

I wish that magazine had way more articles (like yours) and far less spam/advertizing. If they did, I'd subscribe.

Steven-- Thanks for the PM; sorry I'm late to the party but WOO HOO great to see your work recognized
LUVed seeing pics of your 993 + the methodical write-up & labeling of parts.
I knew it was gonna be great as soon as I saw three air-cooled 911s on the cover
Eagerly awaiting the next installation ... you're a tease, mate!

P.S. You've got mail

Yes, a local track would be nice, hopefully in the next year or so, otherwise the car may have to spend some time in the US...

Steven, I finally picked up the November issue today after seeing this thread on the weekend - great write up for your very impressive project! Hope I didn't spill the beans when I mentioned your project and a "Porsche focused periodical" in one of my posts back in August...

BTW you have the cleanest (actual working) garage I have ever seen in person. Not to mention the car itself...

Subscribed.

cheers/Brian
