that FJ is beautifully restored and tastefully enhanced... I used to have a 78 that wasn't that clean... now I have an FJ Cruiser. GLWS!

honestly, I'm a little disappointed in you Chris. The Buy it Now should have been $23, 993...not $23, 995.

at least it wasn't $23, 996, you'd really have egg on your face then

GLWS, a stunning looking truck

That thing is awesome. I love the color. I worked at Toyota over the summer and this was the star of the carshow on campus.

Thanks guys. I am a little torn on selling this. I don't drive it much but I am so attracted to the look, capability and simplicity of these vehicles. They were way overbuilt, almost built to not have to be maintained. I have the room to keep it, but with the new 993 on the way I see myself using it even less. This is my 3rd fj40. Everytime I get rid of it thinking I don't need it or use it enough, within a year or two I see myself looking again....oh wait I do that with 993's as well...I may have a problem.

Would it be crazy to consider one of these for a DD?

Reliability wise you would be fine in any weather/storm, snow, etc. If fuel mileage and ride comfort for a long commute is important to you than I would look at new jeeps instead. These are similar to a 993 in that you can use it rack up miles and keep it in good shape and it won't go down in value and possibly increase in value.

I am in the process of restoring a '74 myself, love these old FJ-40's, and yours is a very nice example.

very nice. i'm honestly surprised someone hasn't jumped on the $23.9K BIN price. wish i had room for it also. i had a rust-free FJ62 and the thing was a tank - market on those is extremely strong now too.
