nice photos
The open-air doors remind of the ultra-exotic Aston Martin CC100 Speedster.
From iDreamOfSpeed.com's "The Streets of Carmel, CA:"
You're welcome! ...& thanks for your insightful private message
Most Aston Martins get me excited, & I don't live anywhere near the UK.
I think Aston's Gaydon headquarters are ~2 hours down the road from you; I'd LUV to check out both of your businesses when I get back to the UK.
Celebrating their 100th anniversary, AM had a dominate presence at Monterey's Motorworks Revival & elsewhere.
...& German content, too: a 356! Didja see that?
I'd guess many other Brits are also proud of Aston. IMHO, for a modern car, they have some of the best curves
At Laguna Seca Raceway the next day, I snapped this classic Aston:

After a late night, we went to pick up a friend who needed a room -- he'd slept only 4 hours in the last 3 days, & shaved in a porta-potty mirror that morning
Even in the dark, his exotic attracted an admirer that followed to the hotel.
...Where we all talked cars outside 'til ~3AM; because during Monterey Car Week: sleep's optional
Up early the next AM:

Kudos to my friend for the weekend pass to the track
Likewise, huge thanks to Mothers for the incredible hospitality
The first car we saw? RLer EB847's unmistakable 'RS.'
Clouds on his hood caught my eye immediately:
IIRC, it took 2 BBS rims to make each 1 of his stunning wheels.

The doors!
In this protype's configuration, this is an exotic that doesn't worry about pleasing everyone.
The doors are the case in point, taking car drivers closer to being 1 with the wind.
Any off-roader knows that your truck gets more looks when it's topless.
The only thing better to do other than carrying a baby or puppy to attract the opposite sex?
Take the doors off. People just can't resist looking.
This car knows that it's average clientele aren't looking for an econo-box car.
Akin to the new Aston Martin CC100 Speedster's, this Spyder's doors push the aesthetic envelope to the extreme.
...while saving weight
"Spyder doors were designed to provide the ultimate in open-air driving."
"Aerodynamically-tested, aluminum-reinforced carbon fiber doors feature an open air-exposed feel even with the Spyder's top raised."
Customers can choose normal, more practical doors if desired.
Now big dogs don't have to scratch the top of your door to stick their noses into the wind...
...& lap dogs finally have equal opportunity to get the wind-blown feel
