After that late night photo, we went to pick up a friend who needed a room -- he'd slept only 4 hours in the last 3 days, & shaved in a porta-potty mirror that morning
So, the following pics started ~1:30 AM that night/morning.
Even in the dark, his exotic instantly attracted an admirer that saw him pass on the road, caught up with us, & then followed to the hotel.
...Where we all talked cars outside 'til ~3AM; because that's 24/7 during Monterey Car Week: sleep's optional

The rest of my pics are in the daylight, but these night shots show off the surfaces' reflective edging.
Any other cars have similar details engineered into the color scheme? Don't think I've seen that before.
Reflective fan blade edges?

Attention to detail continues with custom 997 GT2 seats, re-engineered with heating elements, etc.

That R8 has a hole in its door! I guess you have to hope those doors won't be needed in a collision.
Interesting reflections. Car designers have played with the reflectors in the taillights, but I've never seen reflective material migrate to the car's bodywork! Interesting for sure!
Take care,

Imagine the design study of engineering those doors & everything else!
Yep, it's an open-air experience for sure. In fact, you left 1 key word out:
It's a prototype, demonstrating as many options as possible. Customers can order normal doors or inserts that slide horizontally & lock into place.
Based on what I witnessed of the buzz it created it's not for everyone (a good thing!) & is definitely finding its target audience.
The open-air doors remind of the ultra-exotic Aston Martin CC100 Speedster.
From iDreamOfSpeed.com's "The Streets of Carmel, CA:"
California was a hot spot of enthusiast activity during the annual Monterey Car Week, a six-day celebration of the automobile. Rare collector cars, concept cars, supers and exotics are on display for the world to see. Every die-hard enthusiast has Car Week on their to-do list at least once in their lifetime.
The greatest sight of all was this: The Aston Martin CC100 Speedster! It’s a concept vehicle developed in celebration of Aston Martin’s 100th birthday and a tribute to the famous DBR1 racecar. It is one of the most exclusive cars in the world, with only two in existence.
Every inch of the CC100 is amazing. It has lines and curves like no other vehicle, and it is truly a work of technological art.
My favorite feature is the open spaces in the doors.
Nothing made my two hour drive down to Monterey more worthwhile. When I first learned of the CC100′s development, it was something I only dreamed of seeing in person. I am incredibly thankful I was able to, and very humbled.
Car Week is always a wonderful event, and it left me hungry for next year. In the meantime, I will fondly look back on this outing. I can only imagine what I will see then.

Something else you don't see every day:
Not just a Ferrari F50...
...but 1 with a parking ticket!
