Terry,
The fix was well documented by Bruce7. Do an advanced search on his screen name and you will find his post.

I fiddled with the new rear seal again this weekend - it simply refuses to stay put in numerous places - nearly identical to Howard's description.
Is there a chance that early '95s used a different part number? My old seal was perfect in comparison...

Thank you. I just checked my Sunset invoice and that is the part number I was sent.

thing is, we could not know if rear windscreen is a '94 model or the upgraded model on a car with a changed rear windscreen.
Surely, porsche had a stock of the initial windscreen, and maybe '97 models have '94 windscreens if the windscreen was changed at some time.
I recall several rennlisters here who had their rear windscreen explode by itself some time ago, lots of threads on this.
So maybe if your rail is not holding the seal, you need the other seal, I guess
